PSB 2011’s PLoS Conference Postcard is Published!
Whilst at the 2011 Pacific Symposium on Biocomputing (PSB) A. Murat Eren was inspired to write a short report on the session “Microbiome Studies: Understanding How the Dominant Form of Life Affects Us” and send it to us as a PLoS Conference Postcard. Eren is a Ph.D student at the University of New Orleans and this week we are delighted to publish his Postcard, in which he discusses a software package designed for use in microbial ecology research. We were particularly pleased that he elected to write about a session focusing on software given our forthcoming Software Section. You can find out more about this section here: http://www.ploscompbiol.org/static/guidelines.action#software.
We hope that Postcards provide a taste of the conferences you weren’t able to attend and a reminder of the highlights if you were lucky enough to be present. Last year we published several Postcards from ISMB and we are eagerly anticipating the help of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in the creation of this year’s article containing the many highlights we expect ISMB 2011 to include!
